I love having a wealth of historical family photos to delve into and am always so grateful that images have been taken, preserved, and handed down through the family.
I knew my grandmother Kate as the artist in the last photo. On sleepovers we would have tea and marmalade toast in bed, then she would take me into her studio and let me paint beside her. Such a wonderful gift to see the images of her as a toddler, a teenager, then as a wife and mother.
What photo legacy are you leaving for the generations that come behind you? Take photos. Print them. Share them with your family. You don’t know what an incredible sense of belonging they will create in 100 years time.
