Last rays of Summer …

Down the beach tonight to capture the last sunset of Summer 2018. Don’t leave!

Isabel …

I’m always delighted to capture the little characteristics of young children. One year olds seem to have personality in spades and give me so much to work with in each session.

Mia …

So cute to see Mia arrive in an outfit that used to be her mums when she was a baby. She had her cake toppled over and upside down within one minute, so more of a ‘cake squash’ instead of a ‘cake smash’.

North Curl Curl …

Lifeguards closed the beach yesterday due to the big swell, and encouraged everyone to swim in the pool instead. With huge waves towering over the pool and washing through it, everyone was having loads of fun.

Duty …

I find the ANZAC Day marches so powerful and emotional to watch. Captured these solemn and perfectly uniformed sailors during the Sydney 2017 march. My photo was just selected as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme EVENT.

Capture magazine …

My entry in the 2018 Emerging Photographers competition. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute …. but it has been hard to pin Vera down to a day when she was free to finish off our series, then choose only 6 images to submit.

You can check out my selection here … http://www.capturemag.com.au/photocompentry/vera#ARpHaXg7lvrLfxld.01

Vera …

Life goals. To be as fearless, gracious and positive as Vera is when I reach 87 years old. We did another photo shoot this morning down at the pool and she is totally game to try anything I suggest. Love her.

Sydney …

Love this city in Summer. We turned ‘date night’ into a whole day out, watching Brandon Stanton give a talk at the Opera House about his great HONY series, then daytripping through the Botanic Gardens and The Rocks. Then across the harbour to Taronga Zoo for a twilight concert with Neil + Liam Finn.

Baby Adelyn …

Most newborn photo shoots are held within the first 2 weeks to ensure the baby is super sleepy and snuggly. But I’m in love with the photos from 9 week old Adelyn’s shoot. Alert, engaged and focusing on her parents, she was a delight to photograph.

Oh, Mia …

Some children are quite tentative when a whole cake is placed in front of them, but Mia showed no hesitation, and demolished hers with gusto and creative flair. The photo has always been a favourite of mine, so I’m thrilled it was just awarded as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme HAPPINESS.

Sneak peek …

Oh my goodness, how gorgeous is little Adelyn? At 9 weeks old, she was very alert and kept incredible eye contact with me throughout this morning’s session. I could happily have kept photographing her all day.

Helen …

A beautiful idea for a present for the matriarch of the family …. organise for all her children and grandchildren to be together for a photo shoot. Lovely to capture her garden and house in the photos, as it holds so much family history and memories from the last 33 years.
