Did you know I used to be an accountant? I spent my career in the corporate world, delighting in spreadsheets, reporting and numbers. So, photographing a corporate event for KPMG last night, I felt very much at home. Well, if my home included cracking views of Sydney and had the local MP visiting.

We put the Christmas set through its paces on the weekend and I’ve sent an email to everyone who has signed up with some tips on outfit choices. The set works perfectly with whites + light colours, but also becomes a great neutral background for a bright pop of Christmas colour.

I’m an avid bower bird and love to collect things to remind me of my travels. The image on the left is a postcard I’d collected from a trip to France, maybe some 20 years ago. I was drawn to the light and the stillness of the subject.
 
The postcard had been tucked away, but had provided the inspiration for the photo on the right. I had been drawn to the same qualities as I photographed the father of the bride writing his speech.
