Shooting a Heartfelt session today and was greeted by the raucous laughter and burst of colour provided by the Clown Doctors. They roam the wards, providing a moment of sunshine and distraction to children spending their days confined to hospital.

Despite failing eyesight, Vera remains fiercely independent and active, just returning from a week skiing with her husband. The next day was their 57th wedding anniversary, so after the shoot, I got to see her wedding dress laid out on the bed, and to sit down and look through their wedding album.

He is passionate about his role in the army cadets and is heading off tonight to spend a weekend sleeping under a tarp in a paddock down near Canberra.

Nobody explains how short a childhood actually is. How soon a mother has to relinquish her child. I’m both excited and terrified about this age.

My photo of my neighbour’s gorgeous beagle was just announced as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme PETS. He is so adorable.

A great privilege to attend the MCA for a cocktail party, then get to access the works after dark in the closed gallery. I tend to be more interested in the people contemplating the art, and have the security guards worried as I stalk people a little to photograph their silhouette against the art.
