Back to school …

Don’t forget to take lots of photos this week if you have children heading back to school. You will love looking back on them for many years to come. Here’s one my dad took of me in primary school. Okay, maybe the suitcase dates me!

Joe + Isabelle …

Excited to share some favourite images from my newborn twins session. They both had so much character emerging all ready at even 6 weeks old.

Sneak peek …

Two sisters who are living in different states, made the most of a holiday together and got some family photos taken. So many special memories from my childhood were from running around with my cousins in the school holidays. Loads of adventures and mischief.

Joe + Isabelle …

I haven’t photographed newborn twins before, so I was 50% excited and 50% terrified when they arrived at my door. Relaxed parents and a gorgeous 6 week old brother and sister duo made it an enjoyable shoot. Not much sleeping going on, so it was a bit like wrangling an octopus, with arms and legs in all directions.

Max …

Our son has been away for the week on an army cadets course and he certainly seems taller and hungrier then when he left. What is it about mothers and their sons? I missed him like crazy and love having him back home.

Curly …

You know it’s an authentic beach shoot when you get photo bombed by some local surfers.

Finalist …

My image just got selected as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme URBAN. This was a bar down the road from us in Brooklyn during the World Cup, when everyone literally stopped what they were doing and watched the game from any vantage point. Even taxi drivers were stopped in the middle of the road to get a look.

Flower obsession …

Such an innovative exhibition by Yayoi Kusana at the NGV … every room of a ‘house’ had been covered in flowers, with each visitor given a flower sticker to add anywhere in the exhibition space.

Patricia …

My photography teacher in New York not only taught me the technical skills I needed, but inspired and guided me through my journey and gave me the confidence to start my own business. She is a passionate and generous teacher, so I was thrilled when she was invited to NY’s largest camera store to give a lecture about ‘How to make your way in photography’. I watched online and was very surprised and excited to see she made reference to my journey and showed my website during her lecture!

Sneak peek …

Mothers are always reluctant to appear in front of the camera, but I can’t recommend it enough. We dedicate so much of our love and energy to being a mother, why not celebrate and capture it? Loved photographing these cousins together on holiday … and a beautiful, committed mother as well.
