When I have a family shoot down at the beach, I’ll often get the young children to jump off the dunes to release some energy and get them engaged. At yesterday’s session, the kids of all ages didn’t want to miss out.

With an influx of family visiting from Poland for the holidays, it was a great time to get everyone together for a family shoot. The colours and textures of the sandstone around the harbour make for a great backdrop.

I absolutely loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming new families during my Christmas mini-sessions this year. What’s not to love about my job!

The parents had gone to so much effort to create a great circus themed party and the kids had an absolute ball. Such a fun way to celebrate the end of primary school.

I love that young children can go from quiet, caring moments together, to having crazy amounts of energy to burn. There doesn’t seem to be a middle ground. So much fun capturing these gorgeous siblings together.

Today was a happier occasion as we go into hospitals to provide Christmas photos for families. Armed with tiny little Christmas hats that have been lovingly knitted by people all around the country and sent to us X
