Having worked with Bec for many years, it was fabulous to spend the morning together and catch up. And at 12 weeks old, baby John was so alert throughout the session, keeping us delighted with his smiles.

I photographed Kai as a newborn, so was delighted to catch up with his family this afternoon and see the changes after 10 months. All big blue eyes and on a serious charm offensive .

The afternoon light at this time of year is so soft and gorgeous. The beaches are also a lot quieter and we can start the sessions early which is so much easier with young children. At 12 weeks old, Kuba was very relaxed and mellow as he hung out with his parents this afternoon.

The trouble with having an older sister is that she has done everything before you. She knows that at the end of a Cake Smash you get a bubble bath. And there is no way she’s going to miss out on joining you today.

My Mum has been the one constant throughout my entire life and having her unconditional love has created a powerful sense of belonging for me. I’ve always known what it has been to be loved, and to love in return. I’m so grateful for this beautiful gift from her. Happy Mother’s Day Mum
