Aerial …

View from the 33rd floor. Feet firmly planted and camera strap tightly fastened.

Collections …

Visited the Patrick Pound photography exhibition and loved the concept behind it. He made several different collections under headings such as ‘falling, sleepers and holes’ and then sourced work from his own photos, eBay and the museum archives. All collections displayed with great imagination.

Waiting …

Just arrived home from a road trip to Melbourne with my family. Such an easy city to explore and immerse yourself in food, art and people watching. This group were waiting outside a popular barber shop that was offering a free beer with each cut.

Blue …

I love negative space and shadows in my photos, so was happy to incorporate both on such a vibrant background. My photo just selected as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme BLUE.

Harriet …

With such gorgeous long hair, we had a bit of fun showing it off in our session yesterday.

Bunnies …

Always love having pets join in during a family shoot, and today George + Harriet brought along their pet rabbits. The only trouble with that is now my children want rabbits as well.

Jaiden …

Never too early to learn about having some big adventures.

Thrilled to have my B+W Melbourne laneway image through to the second round in this month’s SMH/The Age Clique competition. You can click on the link below to see all the finalists if you are interested ….. some exceptional images.

Route 66 …

I took this photo as we travelled along the old part of Route 66 through Arizona. The kids were on the roof of the hire car and were meant to be watching out for cars so I didn’t get hit as I laid in the middle of the road. Obviously better things for them to watch. Just chosen as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme ADVENTURE.

Close …

Several years ago, this adventurous family of six went travelling around Australia, and at one point ditched their caravan and slept in a tent above their Toyota Troopcarrier. Now that’s staying close! When they asked me to take some family shots, I knew I wanted to capture this closeness, as well as the love for their 7th family member, Shady.

Family …

A few images from the extended family shoot last weekend. A logistical challenge to get all 10 grandchildren in the one place at the one time, but it was organised as a gorgeous birthday surprise for their grandmother.

Sophie …

Uploading photos onto my computer after a shoot is often like waking up on Christmas morning when you were a child. You want everything that you hoped for to be there. Often there are lovely surprises too. This was a test shot I took before a family shoot this afternoon.
