How did you stay cool in yesterday’s scorching heat? Luckily for Wilbur, he had a personal assistant following him around, keeping him drenched and happy.

A cloudy, misty start down the beach and they are my favourite conditions to photograph in … like a huge softbox providing soft, wraparound light. Ideal for little boys to learn how to fly.

It’s Friday … time to slow it down and relax. Unless you have young children, then it’s just business as usual.

Great to see this little man again today for a return visit. He was very serious throughout his shoot, but couldn’t keep that up when we got him outside and cranked up the bubbles.

Two shoots for Charlie in the one week! Such a lovely, relaxed Christening, with some family coming over from NZ to celebrate his big day. Charlie kept on trying to sneak up to see what the priest was up to during the service.

Redheads rule. I so love photographing children with red hair …. and if there are freckles as well, I’m smitten!

Charlie quickly embraced the concept of a Cake Smash and went over and above what was required. With cake distributed widely around the set, he escaped the chaos with a relaxing soak in the tub.

Sometimes when I do a shoot, it’s the candid photos that really capture the emotion and become my favourites. This was taken at the end of a family session when four young cousins had been running, jumping and smiling up a storm for me for an hour. I had promised them a swim in the lake when we were finished, and this face told me we had reached the end!

With two older brothers, it’s sometimes nice to just step aside from the ruckus and get your florals on.

A sneak peek from today’s Mothers Group first birthday party where they held a group cake smash for the 12 children. Every range of emotion on display within a 2 minute period! Lucky to have a puppy on hand to help with the clean up.

I love how 5 year olds are so incredibly curious about the world around them. So much to learn, and an urgency to understand how it all works and where they fit in.
