Just two weeks old and in his happy place. Snuggled up very close to his mum.

I love the staying power of photography and the joy of finding treasures in the family archives. This is a photo of my mother in law in her spotty cossie, some 60+ years ago. I look at her children and grandchildren and see the similarities that have been passed down through the generations.

We had a shoot originally booked for March, but then the world changed and everything was postponed. Delighted to finally get outdoors today and explore the harbour with this young man.

Just look at Charlotte and try not to yawn.

Dads often know just the perfect way to get a smile from their young children. Worked a treat.

I love bringing out my kite at the end of a beach session so the kids can just have some fun, run around and use up the last of the day’s excess energy.

The old saying about ‘never work with children or animals’ often makes me laugh at the end of a session trying to wrangle everyone together for a photo. But amongst the chaos, there are often moments of magic that are captured.

This afternoon’s shoot was a Father’s Day present from these three gorgeous boys for their dad. Lovely to capture this moment before the change in dynamics that comes with a move to high school and the teenage years.

I always feel honoured to be invited into a couple’s journey to parenthood and to hear their stories. I was delighted to finally meet Jacob and photograph him being wrapped in love by his parents.
