I’ve just come back from a wonderful trip to Vietnam and friends have asked “oh, you must have taken lots of great photos with your big camera?” But the irony of being a photographer in my day job, I now only travel with my iPhone in my pocket to capture it. How wonderful to have all this incredible tech so easily available to us.

I love the connection that I can build with families over the years of photographing them. It’s so powerful to have images to look back on. When I photographed Tobey 7 years ago, I asked him to bring along something he had an interest in. And all these years later, he is still passionate about his music. And also very accomplished. It was great to photograph him playing as part of the band at his school graduation this week.
