When you are nearly 3, life is all about jumping, swimming, firetrucks … and staying close to mum. We got to combine everything in yesterday’s session in the pool.

The hour before sunset has such beautiful, soft golden light. Perfect time to photograph this gorgeous, relaxed family with an abundance of red hair and freckles. My all-time favourite combination to photograph.

Another hard day in the office. Down at Manly Beach photographing the Team Navy ASRL Australian Short Course Championships. Captured the North Bondi team between heats.

8 hours photographing 850+ nippers on the beach. 2,984 photos to edit. Very Australian to have a shark alarm clear the water for half an hour at the start!

Seems this city is just made for B+W photography. However, a more sombre feel when we visited over the last few days, with the Bourke St Mall tragedy still very raw.
