How lovely to finish my very last Christmas session of the year with one of my ‘frequent flyers’. Despite moving to Queensland, Freya keeps coming back to visit for her Christmas photos .

Always a delight to catch up with families and document the changes. Missing those bottom teeth this year, but still a big, gorgeous smile .

Not today. Not feeling the Christmas spirit.

I’ve just come back from a wonderful trip to Vietnam and friends have asked “oh, you must have taken lots of great photos with your big camera?” But the irony of being a photographer in my day job, I now only travel with my iPhone in my pocket to capture it. How wonderful to have all this incredible tech so easily available to us.

I walked in this afternoon after being away on holidays and I’m so excited to see all my Christmas deliveries have arrived. So if you placed your order for Christmas cards, ornaments, prints and gifts before 8 November, they will be delivered to you tomorrow .

I love the connection that I can build with families over the years of photographing them. It’s so powerful to have images to look back on. When I photographed Tobey 7 years ago, I asked him to bring along something he had an interest in. And all these years later, he is still passionate about his music. And also very accomplished. It was great to photograph him playing as part of the band at his school graduation this week.

My initial batch of Christmas mini-sessions for this year sold out quickly and I’ve had a fabulous time capturing festive images for over 60 families.
