During a family shoot, I always love to get the mum alone for a photograph. My goal is not to photograph her as a mother or a partner, but as herself. As a woman.

Photographing children is really based on probability. There is always a chance someone is going to go rogue.

15 weeks old and continuing to receive love from all directions.

It’s been nearly 15 months in the making, but we finally got to celebrate Chris’ birthday with a family shoot. Happy days.

The thing I love most about visiting art galleries is actually standing back and capturing the people looking at the art. This image I took in NY was just selected as a finalist in the Camera House competition with the theme ART.

So lovely to catch up with this gorgeous family while they are down for a holiday visit. Bel is completely out numbered in the gender stakes, but I think that is just the way she likes it.

What does an extended family shoot look like? Once you’ve done the hard work of organising the logistics of getting everyone together, the rest is easy. We find a location that suits all age groups and then I just capture all the interactions between you. Everyone has access to the online gallery to download, share and print the photos.
