So excited to get to see an exhibition of my favourite photographer. She was a nanny working in Chicago and New York in the 1950’s & 1960’s and would chronicle people and places with a perfect sense of framing and balance. One of the most favourite parts of my job is spending an afternoon with a family, going on an adventure to explore new areas and capturing some memories for them.

Little boys are not always known for their love of sitting quietly, but we did manage to grab some photos of Noah and Will amongst their adventuring this afternoon.
As a photographer, I go into a session with a plan of the sort of images I would like to capture. Then I remember I’m working with children.
So pleased with herself to discover the speed and freedom that crawling allows. Nothing better than some unbridled freedom on a sunny day.
It can be a tough gig becoming a big brother and learning the new family dynamics when a baby arrives. And accepting that you are always going to be waiting around for the girls to get ready.
