Gary Collins Head Shots May 2016 LOW RES-27

I have been doing some corporate head shot sessions lately, and I have been having so much fun with them. It’s a definite change to photographing young children and involves a lot less singing, dancing and crawling around the backyard blowing bubbles to keep their attention.

Sunshine …

What more do you need for a 2 year anniversary blip, then 2 perfectly timed surfers walking into your frame?

It’s been a wonderful journey on blip, and I have loved being part of such an inspiring, creative and supportive community. It’s such a unique space and I’m grateful for the people that have worked so hard to save it. I’m also indebted to those of you that have passed by, left comments and been part of my life the past two+ years. Thank you.

Into the blue …

A gorgeous morning for swimming laps at the ocean pool at Freshwater Beach. I love that sensation of when you are swimming and push off from the wall and there is a rush of bubbles as your arms clear a path. I could easily spend my half hour continually doing just that, but it’s not really classified as exercise. And I’m an adult now.

You can usually tell by the amount of grass, dirt and mud that trails from my front door to the back.

Golden hour …

D Harbour pano-2

Went into the city to catch a few lectures as part of the Head On photography festival. Always great to hear different perspectives and stories from photographers around the world.

Darling Harbour was aglow in soft hues as the sun set tonight. Everyone around me had just stopped, holding their phones up to capture the moment.
